Avocado Brownies {bite size}

brownie bites

Avocado Brownies are fudgy, gooey and packed full of chocolate. These brownies are flourless and naturally grain, gluten, dairy and nut free.

I’m going to food blogger hell for this, but I don’t like avocado’s. HOWEVER, make them taste like chocolate and I’m all in! These tasty treats are packed full of healthy fats and they are so full of chocolate, that one is enough (and I say that because when it comes to chocolate, one is never enough for me, until now). My kid’s LOVE them too and will clean all the vegetables off their plates (yes, I believe in bribery) with the promise of one of these brownies (just don’t tell them what they’re made out of).

Do Avocado Brownies Taste Like Avocado?

N-O. No. Absolutely not. I wouldn’t be sharing them if they did, I promise. They take on a rich, fudgy chocolate flavor and they are absolutely delicious!

How To Make Avocado Brownies

  • Start with a very ripe avocado and mash it in a medium mixing bowl.
  • Once mashed, add in honey and mix well, then add in an egg and combine. At this point, it will look disgusting, just trust and believe and keep going.

  • Slooooowly mix in cocoa powder and baking soda. If you mix too quickly, you’ll have a mess on your counter.
  • Lastly, mix in the dark chocolate chips.

  • Line 12 muffin tins with silicone liners and fill liners 3/4 of the way full with batter.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and let cool in pan.

  • Once cooled, remove from liners. These store best in the freezer. They won’t get frozen solid, but they stay nice and firm. I prefer to eat them right out of the freezer, but you can take them out and defrost them a bit before enjoying too.
