Loaded Breakfast Biscuits are gluten free and packed full of sausage, eggs & cheese. These easy biscuits are portable and perfect for a complete breakfast on the go.

I’m always looking for fast & easy breakfast food that my kid’s will love and that are packed full of healthy carbs and protein to keep them full through the morning, especially on school days. These biscuits are savory and delicious and perfect for making breakfast easier in the mornings. I make a big batch on the weekend and then just reheat them each morning.

How To Make Loaded Breakfast Biscuits From Scratch

  • In a stovetop pan, brown the sausage with a clove of garlic.
  • While sausage is browning, whisk together almond flour, tapioca flour (starch), salt and baking powder in a large mixing bowl.
  • In a small mixing bowl, whisk together eggs and melted butter.
  • Add egg mixture to dry ingredients and mix well (I find a fork works well to blend it together).
  • Once sausage is browned, transfer to a paper towel lined plate to drain the excess grease.

  • Add sausage & shredded cheese to dough mixture and mix till everything is well incorporated.

  • Divide dough into 12 equal parts, scoop and place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.

  • Bake biscuits at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
  • Transfer to wire rack to let cool.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground sausage
  • 1 clove garlic crushed
  • 1 1/2 cups almond flour
  • 1/2 cup tapioca flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 5 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 cup cheese shredded

Instructions

  1. Brown sausage with garlic clove. Drain excess grease.

    In a large mixing bowl, whisk together almond flour, tapioca flour, salt & baking powder.

    In a small mixing bowl, whisk together eggs and melted butter. 

    Pour egg mixture into dry ingredients and mix well.

    Add in sausage and shredded cheese, mix till well incorporated. 

    Divide dough into 12 equal parts, scoop and place on parchment paper lined baking sheet.
