Easy Asian Lettuce Wraps are a quick, healthy & delicious meal; bursting with flavor & the perfect balance of sweet & spicy in every bite.
When I saw my friend Nicole, post her Pork Lettuce Wraps, I knew I needed them in my meal rotation ASAP. And by ASAP, I mean I needed them immediately, so I dug through my kitchen and created my own version, based on what I had on hand! I then proceeded to eat them for lunch every day until they were gone and didn’t share a single bite with my family…they’re that good!
This recipe could not be easier. All your ingredients come together in one pan and you have yourself an easy and delicious meal in under 20 minutes!
I prefer to use Butter Lettuce because it is sturdy and holds up well with the filling. Boston Lettuce works as well. If you prefer to use iceberg or romaine, I suggest turning this into a salad!
If you’re looking for a way to eat this without the lettuce wrap, I’ve also had it served over roasted sweet potatoes (delicious) and with my Cauliflower Fried Rice!
Brown ground turkey, diced red pepper and garlic clove over medium heat.
Whisk together coconut aminos, sriracha, honey, crushed red pepper and ground ginger in small bowl.
When turkey is browned and pepper is tender, pour sauce over mixture and continue cooking for 2-3 minutes.
Add in raw cashews and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring well.
Serve in butter or boston lettuce as wraps.
