We eat potatoes often and while my kid’s prefer mashed potatoes (with the exception of one child, who will only eat potatoes in the form of french fries), I like to serve up some variety from time to time. These potatoes are easy to make and perfect to throw in the oven while the rest of dinner is cooking on the grill. They go great with burgers, chicken and our favorite, pork chops! If you’re looking for a side dish that your whole family will love, these are it!

What Kind Of Potatoes To Use For Oven Roasted Potatoes

Any potatoes will work, but for this dish, I prefer using baby red potatoes and golden yellow potatoes. You can find them at any grocery store, but I like to buy a big bag of them at Costco.

How To Roast Potatoes

This dish is so easy to make and mixes and bakes in the same pan {which is always a major plus in my book, less dishes}.

  • To start, dice up your baby potatoes by cutting in half lengthwise and then in half again. The smaller your potato chunks, the crispier they will get.
  • Once potatoes are all diced up, pour them in a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  • Drizzle potatoes with olive oil and toss to coat evenly.
  • In a small bowl, combine BBQ seasoning – paprika, pepper, salt, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder and cayenne pepper.
  • Pour seasoning over potatoes and mix well, till potatoes are all coated.

  • Bake potatoes at 400 degrees for 40 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and serve hot!
